What's going on in 1st grade....
Homework update: -Please have your child pick one activity per night to do. Write the day in the journal and the work underneath i.e. Monday -Magnets have 2 poles. Students will still turn in homework folders on Friday but they will use the calendar for 2 weeks so they will have an opportunity to do most activities. Do not forget to log reading time. There will be choices on the calendar that we are just starting to learn about or maybe have not gotten to yet, so I encourage them to wait to do those activities. Science- We continue to explore magnets by finding objects that are magnetic by seeing if they are attracted to magnets and have iron in them. We have talked about and learned the vocabulary attract and repel. Reading- We are practicing beginning, middle, and end in read alouds and independent reading.
